Ramadan 2018

Ramadan 2018 / 1439 AH

The NNMA is pleased to announce that Ramadan will begin on Thursday 16th of May 2018

Iftar meals will be available daily at the NNMA community centre

Taraweeh Prayers

Taraweeh prayers will start on Wednesday  16th May and will begin immediately after Isha Prayers (For Isha times, see timetable below). Prayers will be led by our Guest Imam from Saudi Arabia.

Due to the late time of these prayers, we urge you to respect our neighbours by leaving quietly and avoiding congregation outside the centre after prayers.

NOTICE: In recent years inappropriate parking has led to numerous complaints from neighbours. Please AVOID parking on the two roads highlighted below. We recommend parking at the Norwich Community Hospital (below) which offers parking for a £1 flat fee throughout the night and is only a 5 minute walk from the centre, alternatively, please look to lift share or use public transport.

Zakat Ul Fitr

This has been set at £5, and should be paid for each and every member of your family, including children. Zakat-ul- Fitr can be paid from the beginning of Ramadan to make it easier to reach the needy recipients in time. The latest time it can be given is just before the Eid prayer, but delaying it this long means there may not be time to get the food to the needy for Eid day.

“When Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are put in chains.” [Reported by al-Bukhaari, al-Fat’h, no. 3277.]

“Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and with the hope of (Allah’s) reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven.” [Reported by al-Bukhaari ]
